A great spot in the mountains.
The property is nestled between the Greenridge State Forest and the Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management area. We visited the Cacapon State Park, hiked the trails of the Paw Paw tunnel of the C & O Canal and visited restaurants and other points of interest in the Berkley Springs and Cacapon area. We didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted to so we booked another trip there next fall. The cabin was everything we expected and there were deer on the property when we arrived. The cabin was well stocked with amenities (including towels) wifi, satellite, tv's in every room, including the game room. There were also board games, movies on dvd, plenty of chairs, including a gliding patio bench on the deck. The view was great. The management was very accommodating to our needs. It was a great trip!

A Great Retreat
We have now gone twice at the same time of the year and it has been fantastic. The place has great entertainment options for families in the home, theres a great open area with a fire ring, there's a great view from the deck, and -- though it's tucked away in the mountains -- it is still close enough to places to get food and supplies, not to mention the actual springs of Berkeley Springs. The management company was also phenominal. The check in/out process is easy, the place was clean, and they never bothered us. However, when we realized we needed their help after our stay, their team was so pleasant to work with and accomodating. A great diamond in the rough!

beautiful and chill spot to hang with friends!
We loved our weekend stay here! Plenty of space, rooms and beautiful views! The natural lighting in this rental is especially beautiful and calming. We used the kitchen and it was stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils and plates we needed.

Wonderful experience
We loved spending the weekend with our family and simply relaxing in this cottage and nearby Berkeley. Beautiful property and even more beautiful town. We e been to a few different cottages in the area and this one is one of the best.

Great cabin in the woods
This cabin was such a nice place for us to spend a week over Christmas. We enjoyed the fireplace and loved that the firewood was provided for us. The loft was big and spacious and the basement was a nice get away for games, etc. As a family who brought all of our food in for every meal for the week, we thought the plates/dishes and cups were not adequate for a family of 6. Also, the seating area in the kitchen, living room and basement did not have adequate seating for all 6 of us. It is also important for a cabin like this to have a CO detector and not just a smoke detector. Overall, this was a great place and we would definitely stay here again.

The outlook
Beautiful view. Cabin is a little dated. Lighting in both bedrooms on main floor poor. Lamps poor. It was difficult to get the cabin cool but that is probably the way it was built rather than an equipment problem. Unfortunately there is a clay shooting range not far and from Friday night through Sunday noon a gun was going off consistently. Beautiful area though. We enjoyed nevertheless

Friends getaway weekend
We enjoyed the view and the wood-burning fireplace. I would stay here again. It was a pleasabt escape from city life. We enjoyed hiking in the Cacapon State Park and soaking at the Berkeley Springs State Park. Potential renters should be warned that the supply of hot water is very limited and short showers are a must.

NOT For Seniors
From the pictures, we were well aware of the outside steps. Once we got into the house the two inside stairwells were not safe or conducive for a senior. When I say senior, I mean we were all in our 60s and we had trouble getting around the place. The second bathroom is in a horrible location in the basement. The lighting inside and outside was horrible. When we would drive up the driveway at night it was very hard to see and no lights came on. I have rented on Virbo many times and this was horrific. Not sure if I will ever use this site again

Just the view
We rented in the winter so there’s probably more to do in warmer months. We came to disconnect and see the mountains so we got that. The house is great. Don’t expect 5 star hotel level as it’s slightly outdated but it has what you need. Some things have been done especially nicely- like the deck. Somethings are old or cheap (kitchen counter, microwave). I’m not fancy so I couldn’t care. I didn’t feel grossed out by anything (although a bathroom upgrade wouldn’t hurt). The basement was quite chilly so we stayed upstairs by the fire. It was quiet and peaceful. The property manager at first asked us to check in later which we couldn’t but they scrambled to get the home ready. They were very easy to communicate with.

The cabin is cozy with a large game room in the basement. The 2nd bathroom is on the lower floor where there are no bedrooms. The heat was difficult to regulate. The road to the cabin is narrow and bumpy.

It Was Just What The Doctor Ordered
It was great. It was great for the two of us adults and it was great for the 7 kids ages 3-12. It would have been nice to have a bathroom on the 3rd floor/loft but it is understandable why there isn't one. We did have an issue with hot water running out in the shower. It would be nice if there was more hot water but other than that, it was a great all-around place for the family for the weekend.

A nice getaway from the city
We spent a few days at the Outlook this 4th of July. The communications with the rental agency were prompt. The cabin was well appointed and clean when we checked in. It is close to the Cacapon state park which provides many options for hiking, swimming! We enjoyed the lovely deck to the fullest extent - morning yoga, coffee, evening drinks and watching the light fade as the sun sets over the mountains. The only thing the property managers/owners should be up front about is the very close proximity to a Gun Shooting Range. We could hear gun shots all day every day and that was quite disconcerting and triggering for us and definitely for our dog. I would NOT RECOMMEND this property for people who are traumatizes by sounds of GUN SHOTS or for those with pets who are sensitive to sounds of GUN SHOTS. This I understand is nothing to do with the property owners or the cabin itself. But I would have appreciated that the listing lays it out clearly that the shooting range is close by and that the gun shots can be heard from even inside the cabin. If it weren't for this, I would stay here again ,since the property itself is very nice.
