We were a group of five 65+ women looking for a nice getaway for few days and certainly found it in the Manor. This house has been kept in great shape despite its age, and the decor is period. As it had been used as a b&b for a few years it had plenty of beautifully appointed bedrooms (we had one each) and some had their own sink. The two latger upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and overhead shower. The other two upstairs slightly smaller rooms share a bathroom with a tipub and handheld shower. These also share a small sitting room. The fifth room is on the main level and is en-suite with walk-in shower. The kitchen is a nice size and there are a set of narrow stairs from there leading to one of the small bedrooms (in addition to the main stairs in the hallway. Downstairs there is a dining room and two large sitting rooms, one with a large screen tv. There is a small screened porch at the back and a beautiful wrap around porch at the front, overlooking wonderful gardens. We can’t wait to return! Downtown is a 5 minute walk downhill (sadly that means 5 mins uphill afterwards 😂! Pretty much everything is walkable. Check out Fairfax Coffee House, movie theatre, Country Inn (great happy hour and regular menu), Astasia Spa (Michelle is very good). Lots to see and do!
