Monica, our host, was very good at answering questions in a timely manner, keeping us updated as to recent developments and being available to help with any concerns upon arriving and during our stay. It was one of many reasons we returned to the Old Milford House this year.The house is comfortable for the six of us, is well appointed and very clean. It’s close to anything we want it do in the County

This house was very clean and ready for it's guests when we arrived. The Manager had sent me the code for one of the doors earlier that day so our access was simple and easy. The bedrooms were very acceptable considering the age of this lovely old farmhouse. We took a quick view of the outdoor amenities and found them to be as advertised, although the weather was not conducive to outside use. We were there to golf though, so completed that task happily every day. The TV common area was popular as was the very large and well equipped kitchen. The kitchen table was not only a great place for the quick meals we needed, but was a great games area or just a conversation pit.The very well decorated period dining room was excellent for large meals. We used the talents of one Rachel Bies, a local chef who does at home diners and was recommended by the management to us. Rachel provided us with a fantastic Italian 5 course diner and served it in the beautiful dining room. What a great evening that was.All in all a great week in Prince Edward County. Thank you/

A beautiful property. Ideal for families. Brought our two large dogs with permission and they loved the grounds. Close to awesome Sand Banks and Picton yet in the tranquil countryside. Loved the gorgeous landscaping and the pool. We all want to book it next year!

Wonderful property for a family gathering. We made full use of the pool, play area and outdoor pizza oven. Inside we enjoyed the well equipped kitchen and all the eating areas. Lots of sleeping space for our family of 10. Great location, short drive to Sandbanks beaches, shopping and restaurants. Monica was an excellent host, quick to respond to our questions.

Monica couldn't have been more lovely to deal with. She was quick to respond to any query and I couldn't believe how well stocked the kitchen was, the fact that we were visiting from ireland meant we didn't want to have to buy olive oil or parchment paper and we didn't as it was already in the kitchen. The house was clean the beds were super comfy and the pool perfect for the kids to play in. The pizza oven was next level. I would definitely recommend.

Relaxing week innthe County

Our stay worked out perfectly thanks to this house. It was well equipped for everything - comfortable beds, pool, great glasses for sipping wine and a big kitchen for cooking together. The location was central. We brought our bikes and rode in a different direction each day. The screened in porch was a big plus. We never tried the pizza oven and will have to return to do that!

We stayed as a group of extended family, ages 6 to 75. The house was lovely and had everything we needed for a great weekend. Monica was helpful and responsive. The pizza oven was a highlight and we successfully managed to have ourselves a pizza feast! We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing Family Getaway

Our stay was spectacular in every aspect. The house is perfect for large families to enjoy quality time together. The home is equipped with EVERYTHING you can imagine-you can tell a lot of thought has gone into being a 5-star host. We were very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves here immensely. Retired teachers’ weekend getaway

Five of us met at this VRBO property for a long weekend of wine and cider sampling, shopping, touring and walking. The spacious, clean and comfortable house allowed us to each have our own room and to gather easily in the large, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and TV room for a great visit. We were close to many of the attractions in the County , another benefit of the location. It was a very enjoyable weekend away. With thanks to Monica.

Perfect PEC get away

We stayed for 5 days, and it was an amazing experience. The property is exactly as described, the house is extremely clean and well taken care of. We had absolutely no issues with our stay. The host was super accommodating, and was always responsive to our questions. The house is only minutes away from Picton, Lake on a Mountain (overview), many wineries and breweries. It is in the heart of PEC. We are definitely going to be looking to come back and revisit the area, and this will be our #1 choice of accomodations.

Beautiful stay in the country.

My husband and I had a lovely and peaceful stay at Old Milford House celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. We did a lot of gravel biking throughout the countryside, made some amazing pizzas in the gorgeous stone pizza oven and generally relaxed in the pastoral setting of Prince Edward County. We love the food and wine scene there and will definitely be back!

Family Memories

We booked our weekend stay at Old Milford to attend a family wedding. Much to our surprise, the time at the property was just as special. Everyone enjoyed the time together and we took full advantage of all the features (basketball, pool, pizza oven etc.). We made lasting memories with our 3 adult sons and their girlfriends. This property was everything and more. Monica is very responsive and has thought of EVERYTHING. This unique property will not disappoint.

Tranquility and comfort in Prince Edward County

We had such a wonderful time at Milford House. Everything was perfect from start to finish. This is a stunning century+ home with the charm of the past and every modern convenience. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and even had sharp knives!! A first for me in short term rentals. Didnt have to pull out my own knives!! Monica was so helpful, and had really thought of everything. Gorgeous fluffy towels, comfy beds... The garden area is much larger that it looks in the pictures, and it unfolded like a series of beautiful rooms. We loved having the pool. The location is great. Close to all areas of interest in the county, yet tranquil. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Monica

Amazing Setting to Connect with Family and Friends!!

We are from Toronto, so it was a huge treat to have a space where our children could run outside and play on the grounds and play structure. The Pizza oven was well enjoyed along with the screened in porch (making for many memorable meals). The large number of bedrooms meant that our family and friends could be together but also have a quiet place apart from others to rest. PEC is filled with so many wonderful farms, hikes, and beaches - we were glad to be able to stay amidst all these special places. Thanks for sharing your home. The grounds are lovely, the kitchen is so functional, and the gathering rooms are fantastic.

50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with children and grand children

Excellent home and location with ample space and playground items for the young Grand Children. The pool was absolutely great and enjoyed by all. Highly recommended for a great holiday. Greatly enjoyed the nighttime fire pit.

Fabulous stay in PEC!

This property exceeded our expectations. Large farmhouse with everything you need. Clean, spacious and easily accommodates multiple families or friends. Between the authentic pizza oven, the pool and the screened in porch, we had no reason to leave the farmhouse - but of course did! Monica, the property host, was super communicative and when we had a question, very responsive. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway to PEC where you have a country feel but are close to all things to do.
