The place was reasonably priced for 5 nights, and spacious enough for 5 people. However, one shower was broken, the pots and pans had to be washed because they were dirty, there were water stains from water intrusion in at least 4 rooms, the A/C was programmed to go down to 50 degrees at night and we couldn't change it, and the management company changed a week before we arrived and no one notified us. Thankfully, they still answered our call, gave us instructions on how to get in and the number to the owner. Checkout instructions were lacking but we did what we thought they wanted. At the end of the day I would not stay here again. However, it isnt because of the property itself. Rather, unless you like to golf or own a boat, there isnt anything meaningful to do here. You have to drive 1 to 1.5 hours away for anything fun, again, other than golf or boat on the lake. For being the Carribean of Michigan, my expectations were a lot higher and I ended up pretty disappointed. We did, however, enjoy the few things we were about to do... trail riding over an hour away and boat rental on Torch Lake about 25 minutes away. We will choose another location next time.
