We enjoyed the proximity to the tidal falls which offered dark skies to observe the meteor showers and aurora borealis. Easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor (approx 45 mins).”

“The house is a charming log cabin located deep in the woods of a sparsely populated part of Mt Desert Island. It has a nice but small private pond behind the house. The house is overall nice, but definitely has some quirks and inaccurate listing details. Contrary to the listing, it does NOT have a hot tub. The upstairs bathroom has the most unusual “bath tub” I have ever seen - it is about 30”x30” and nearly 3’ deep. It is so tall they had to build a step next to it to get in. I would NOT want...

“We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. “Very nice country home with a beautiful yard and fire pit! It was a nice easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host was delightful and quick with responses to my questions. The host was also very helpful with the favorites list they provided. We tried a couple of the faves and they were excellent and are now my favorites. Will definitely come back to this one.”

“This place is in a wonderful location. Wooded and right on water. The walk to th shore is made of wood steps. The shore is just peaceful and so natural. “We absolutely loved our trip here. The cabin is more gorgeous in person than the pictures. The cabin is close to everything and a short walk to the town. The outdoor seating area with the fire was a welcome way to spend a cool evening. It was nice to have a kitchen and laundry room. The loft overlooking the water was perfect. We hope to come back and would absolutely stay here again!”

“This is a lovely and comfortable home. Loved enjoying my morning coffee on the dock each day. Easy drive to many Acadia sights and plenty of great hiking and things to see on the quiet side. We took the canoe and kayak out on the pond as well.
