My wife and I spent a family vacation with our grown children and their partners at Blue Hill. We had a fabulous time. The house and surroundings were impeccable, so large that all of us [incl. our dogs] could find privacy inside or outside whenever we needed it. A must and not an easy feat for a large family vacation. We stayed a week during which we ate a lot of soft serve ice cream, cooked and ate, danced at a Flash mob steel drum concert in Blue Hill, did the NYT crosswords, formally accepted a job and gave notice at the present job, hiked [in Acadia and closer by], hung out at the beach, kayaked, listened to podcasts, napped, played board games, golf, and ping pong, pondered a job offer [a different family member], ran, read many novels, rode on mopeds around Acadia, sat by the fire, sailed, shopped [very little], skipped rocks, slept [a lot], swam [both people and dogs], threw the ball for the dogs, visited nearby family, watched a regatta at Brooklin Navy Yard [from our kayaks, it was glorious]. We will be back!
