Se puede pescar y nadar desde el muelle.

El Parque Nacional MDI / Acadia está a unos 45 minutos. La península de Schoodic está a solo 30 minutos y es muy hermosa. ¡También evitas el tráfico de Bar Harbor!

I'd go back but would stay longer
Didn't want to go back home the cottage was so cozy and the pond so beautiful. Everything we needed was on site, clean & worked well. We ate at the owners' restaurant on Desert Island andenjoyed that too.

Peaceful Pond Living
Property was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. Easy to communicate with owner when we had a question. Easy trip to local areas of interest, yet felt worlds away from tourist bustle. We spent many tranquil and restorative hours just gazing at the pond and watching the loons.

On The Rocks provided the perfect quiet getaway for my fiancé and I! We didn’t mind the 30-45 minute drive out to Bar Harbor - there are so many fun stops along the way. The kayaks at the property are a plus, too! The house is very clean and had all the essentials.

The home & proximity to the Harbors & Acadia National Park is perfect. Georges Pond is absolutely picturesque; you must take advantage & take the kayaks out ~ so peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

First Maine Visit
Cabin was perfect. Quiet and comfy. No problems at all. Maine is beautiful. There is even a little spa down the street called Dewey’s. Hair, mani/pedi and tanning bed. Much needed R&R.

Perfect Little Getaway
We enjoyed our time One the Rocks! Such a nice peaceful area. The camp was very clean and we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas, but the drive wasn't too far to go anywhere. My husband went out on the kayak and found a bald eagle in it's nest! We would love to go back!

Loved staying On the Rocks. Nice size cabin for two…with everything we needed. Beautiful views! Great suggestions on places to visit and eat … their restaurant was wonderful! Only complaint was the mattress. Plenty of fish and eagles to watch!

Amazing Experience
This place was absolutely fantastic! The view of the sunset on the lake was beautiful, if we wanted to just stay at the house there was plenty to do. The owners were helpful and gave us all kind of suggestions on places to visit and things to do.

Peaceful retreat
Me and my boyfriend came to Maine to hike in Acadia National Park and despite the distance (~40 mins) from ANP, decided to stay here. We didn’t regret the decision! We loved coming back here to relax at the end of the day. We even took advantage of the kayaks one morning. The area is just very peaceful overall and this cabin is very cozy.

Off the Beaten Track
Great place. You have to be ok with being 30-45 mins from Acadia -- if that's why you're in the area -- but otherwise, fantastic camp. Everything's as listed, clean, beautiful, comfortable. We enjoyed going to Schoodic and touring around some of the pottery studios. Also, hiked a bunch. The camp was a perfect place to come home to at end of day.

An idyllic spot!!
We had a wonderful stay at ‘On the Rocks’. The house was everything promised! We enjoyed watching the sunset on the deck, drinking beer by the warmth of the brazier and canoeing on the lake. The house itself was very well appointed and warm. WiFi worked well. We were so sad to leave!!

Wonderful stay!
We are so happy we decided to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and booked this place. We looked forward to waking up to the beautiful view every morning and seeing the gorgeous sunsets every night. The house was perfect and it came with everything we needed for our week long stay. The owners were also so easy to contact when I had a few questions. We hope to be back next year!

This is the first time the pictures didn’t do the place justice! “On the Rocks” was AMAZING! It was clean, and had everything u could possibly need! We enjoyed kayaking around George’s pond! Loon’s and bald eagles were plentiful! We will definitely make this a place to revisit!!!

Perfect Getaway!
On The Rocks is exactly as advertised. The camp is well appointed, very clean, and mere steps away from George's Pond. Enjoy beautiful sunsets with the call of loons and take advantage of the available kayaks to explore and see an eagle or two. Visit Northeast Harbor and be sure to stop in at Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery....you can't go wrong with any selection. Many thanks to our hosts for a great stay! We look forward to coming back!

Wonderful lakeside cottage
Everything was great. I had some trouble finding the cottage using my Motorola Droid Max (Android) Google Maps. It sent me down the wrong driveway and was consistently wrong finding the address. It told me to turn on Benton Lane. On the otherhand, the Google Maps on my work I-Phone was spot on correct in locating the address. I am not sure why. The propane gas tank for the grill was empty. However, the Caretaker got it replaced that same day.

Cabin was beautiful. Right on George's Pond beautiful area. Comfy beds, roomy kitchen and bath for a Cabin, plenty of relaxing area after a day of hiking in Acadia. We loved it!

Acadia camp evenings
Our George’s Pond stay was splendid. Our hosts were very accommodating and run a great place on the pond. The location proved quite breathtaking at dawn, dusk, sunny and cloudy. Moonlit or sunlit, our camp time was water and sky beauty. The charming indoor cabin area is small but well utilized. Enough sleeping space and an open unit for the communal area. I liked the multi-purpose stools for extra seating or as side table. Additionally, the butcher block table design offers up lots of uses. Comfortably spotless...go housekeeping! The mattresses were firm and made for well rested mornings. Bathroom and kitchen were well stocked: two observations from this traveler, 2-3 ply toilet paper and paper towels may be a worthwhile added expense to please old farts like me. Also a couple of small bowls/ramekins would be a nice addition to the kitchen at a minimum of expense. People who do a lot of their own cooking often find a need for these. We appreciated your flexibility with our Maine friends, it was so good to see them. Happy to recommend “On the Rocks” to any and all Acadia bound visitors. The wild blueberry fields were a warm welcome as we approached the camp. Thank you thank you Mark and Stephanie.
