This home has potential. It's in an awesome location with a lot of great sights and sounds. We brought games, hot cocoa, crock pot—overall we had a blast! The bathrooms look like they have been updated for the most part. The wifi was great—and there is cell reception there as well.
Some things that I wasn't pleased with: The cleaner could do a much better job. There were dust bunnies behind the bed and visible cobwebs in the corners. The "master" mattress is a full spring mattress, and is extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I are in our thirties and could not get comfortable at all.
Additionally, there is only one smoke detector. It didn't work. I checked, re-checked, and the battery was dead. Extremely frustrating! Especially having a fireplace there. I'm pretty sure all rentals need to have a smoke detector in each room. Speaking of fireplace, the host brags a cozy fireplace, but they probably should say "bring your own wood," because there wasn't any.
The breaker kept tripping so we couldn't run the dishwasher at the same time as doing a handful of other things. It was an easy fix, but still, annoying.
Also, you have to figure out where you're going to access the slope. This is on the opposite side of the road, so you have to trespass onto other people's properties if you want to get over to the slope, or drive your car to the parking lot, which defeats the purpose.
I messaged the property manager regarding a couple of things and still haven't heard back. At the end of the day we still had fun, but there were no "extra touches" to the house. We didn't even have Netflix or TV, but there are about seven mysterious remotes that aren't labeled. Not joking, there were literally so many remotes. I had to log in with my personal account to Netflix and log out before I left. The "kids" box of toys is destroyed and most things were missing pieces, but luckily we found some crayons.
For as much as we paid to stay here, we won't stay here again. Overall just lacking attention to detail, safety issues, cleanliness. The location is what saved us, and the fact that we came prepared with lots of games, a crock pot, and stayed on the slopes most of the time. I guess you pay for the location.
