Christmas 2024
My family and I spent Christmas at the chalet and we had an amazing time! The home is immaculate and one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in. It was very easy to access and so warm and cozy. Liz is an amazing hostess and very thoughtful. They have everything you need to have a warm and welcome stay. We are very grateful for all of their hospitality .

A Great House
My family stayed for a couple of nights with our toddler and baby. The house was very well stocked with essentials, including some things for young children. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The weather was unseasonably mild for November, so we were able to take full advantage of the nice backyard firepit and the expansive decks on the house. It is located in a quiet area with only minimal traffic which was nice. Much of the house has been updated, especially the kitchen. We especially liked the large dining room table. I've been in a number of houses on Beech, and this is one of the better updated ones on the market. I will say the spiral staircase could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns. These are somewhat common on the mountain, but something to consider when booking. Otherwise, the house should be a good fit for most families.

Stairs, stairs, and more stairs
I literally was the only one who went up and down the VERY narrow spiral staircase for the entire week. No TV or real sitting area in upstairs (main area where kitchen is)….we would’ve had to go outside and in the door downstairs to use that living area and it was just too much of a hassle, so we never used the downstairs AT ALL. I would not suggest this house for many reasons, but this is the greatest. The house was clean, however, very dated….all the way down to the 70’s golden yellow shower behind that shower curtain you can’t see in pics. The “AC” is one device in upstairs living area that does not have any venting into any rooms…at 67, we were still hot at night….menopausal women be warned lol! There were hundreds of moths glued to the sliding doors at night, making reentry fun as well. Lots of gnats and small fruit flies in kitchen area. The only positive was that it was clean…excluding our small flying friends in the kitchen area! The homeowner was also very accommodating and allowed us to do an early checkin! There’s a great mountain bike trail at the end of the road as well. Really close to Beech Mountain Club and Buckeye Rec Ctr. I would prefer not giving a not so rave review, but I would’ve liked to have had more intel on the layout, as well as, the reality of the stairs and narrow spiral stairs inside. I’m 125 lbs. and had trouble coming in and out of this home….seriously. FYI….the only way to lock the door is to scale the spiral staircase! Bring a petite friend

Family Ski Vacation

Blessed trip!
This home is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed last year and the kids loved it. We returned this year and it was like home away from home. It meets all of our needs and was convenient to everything on Beech. The owners are attentive and easy to reach. We believe that God led us here and He blessed our stay.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was stocked with everthing you needed. We love the deck with the gates for the dogs. The dogs loved watching the deer come down the mountain. It was another BEST WEEKEND EVER! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Excellent stay
This house was close to Beech mountain and fully stocked with everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better house! Fireplaces were out of order for maintenance, so check on that if it’s important for your stay.

Christmas at the Chalet
Thank you for a lovely stay! The property was clean and very well stocked. The small community of Beech Mountain is sweet and there are some good local restaurants. Be sure to visit Fred's Mercantile as they have everything you might need! The roads are very twisty and steep so it may have been more difficult in snow/ice, but very possible in any other weather. The house has two wood fireplaces so this was lovely, particularly over Christmas! The kitchen was well stock and the square footage of the home is greatly increased by all of the outdoor space. There are many stairs so this house might be tricky for someone with mobility issues, but otherwise the house was lovely! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great Relaxing Weekend

Beech Mountain Stay
My family very much enjoyed the stay at this home! The property is as advertised and has a lot of fun touches like board games and dog gates on all the decks. There is also a hiking trail right at the end of the street that my dog, brother, and I went on. We would definitely recommend.

Just Lovely
We enjoyed our two month stay in The Chalet. Liz was gracious and accommodating each step of the way. The charming home was well organized, very clean, and well appointed with any kitchen and household supply imaginable. The house was decorated and adorned with class and warmth. The bed was comfy and cozy especially on cooler nights. We enjoyed our home away from home and thank The Prices for their hospitality.
