Short Mountain Getaway
We had a great stay here! Beautiful views. Short walk to top of mountain. If stairs aren’t your thing you might want to skip. We really had a wonderful time getting away from the city. Hosts communicated all through out the stay. They are really accommodating folks. Can’t wait to see this place with some snow! Wish I was still there <3

Beautiful, cool and comfortable
We wanted to see the mountains from our lodging, feel cool air, and sit/sleep comfortably for a week. All of that was here, plus a lot more. Walking on the ski slope, sitting on the deck, watching deer every day, soaking in the big hot tub, using the wifi to stay connected, driving to various interesting spots in the high country, sleeping well in the comfortable king bed, effective HVAC and window blinds/curtains, and the stunning sunrises/sets made for a splendid week of recharging and celebrating. The kitchen is small and best for minor cooking. There are a lot of well-engineered and well lit steps to enter and the road up is very twisting, but we managed without trouble despite being over 60. In my opinion, it would be tough to manage a toddler on this high steep mountainside and more than 4 people would be crowded. Having 2 full baths is great. We greatly enjoyed the house in summer and can imagine it is heaven for the skiers. Supplies can be obtained at Freds in Beech, but more variety is at Food Lion or Lowes in Banner Elk. Our Honda CRV fit well in the parking; it would be possible but hard to fit another car of that size beside it. There is paid parking at the bottom of the entrance road for extra vehicles. Maggie was extremely prompt in her replies and reached out kindly just to check on us. I highly recommend this BNB for relaxing away from summer heat and accessing all the delights of the high country. We would return in a heartbeat.

The views and temperatures in the summer are worth the every step up to the house! Very cute and comfortable house. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Wish we were still there.

Fantastic Slope-Side Home
We were looking for a ski-in/ski-out location for a few days of skiing at Beech. This home was exactly what we were looking for. It is located directly on Upper Shawneehaw and access to and from the home on the slope was very easy. The owners are accurate in packing appropriately as there are steps to access the home, and you may have to make a path in the snow to get from the porch to the slope. We could not have asked for a better location for ease of access and views of the mountain. Finally, the owners were very responsive to questions we had and very helpful in returning an item that was left at the home. It was a pleasure staying at your home!

Best family ski vacation ever!
We absolutely loved this Beech Mountain home. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. From the always prompt response from the host to the cozy decor, everything was wonderful! We loved the hot tub and the deck overlooking the slopes. We especially appreciated the snow crew provided by the host who came to dig us out on our last morning. So thoughtful! We have memories that will last a lifetime!

No place better on Beech Mountain!
This property was amazing! One of the few true ski-in / ski-out properties on the mountain. Maggie and Brendan had great communication up to and during our stay. They even arranged for snow to be removed from all outside areas. Great communication on needing a 4x4 vehicle during winter! The house has everything you need and we can’t wait to come back! HIGHLY recommend property! Thank you!

Cute & Cozy
We loved our stay here. The view is amazing, the hot tub was perfect for cold weather, and there were a lot of fluffy pillows and warm blankets. We wanted a little getaway to relax and see the fall colors, and this place hit the spot. It was also very clean, and commutation with owner was fast and friendly. Would stay again and recommend. Also, it is absolutely as advertised with the ski-in/ski-out. Go out the back door, off the deck and you’re on the slope!

Finally found a place to return year after year
We go to Beech Mountain at the same time every year, and never found a place that we wanted to return to…until now! This place is amazing, not only in location, but also in charm. My wife could not stop talking about the beds, and we had to purchase the exact same blankets and comforter on the drive home. We really loved working with Maggie, she is a wonderful host and her communication was fantastic! We will be coming back to this place again and again. Incredible Vacation Spot
Our stay was amazing! The view from the property is great and plenty of room for a couples getaway! The house is perfectly situated right off of a ski slope and would be amazing during ski season (We might be back soon). Everything was as described, the little town had everything we needed and was very accessible. I highly recommend this location to any of my friends, even with small families to stay! Thank you!

The property was perfect for our group of 5. The hot tub was a great way to end the days watching wildlife. Easy walk up to the 5560 bar. Beautiful sunrise views. Easy check in width smart locks.

Great location but needs some help
Overall we had a great time. Unfortunately, there were some issues. First, the hot tub wasn’t working the first night and it took 12 hours to heat up the next morning. The bathroom was missing a drain plug in the tub. The bottom kitchen drawer was missing a handle and it was hard to open. The sliding door was broken upon arrival and it was extremely difficult to open and close making it inconvenient to go in and out for scenery and grilling, etc. The pillows are all really flat and need replaced in my opinion. We only had 4 towels to use and once we did laundry the last night, we found all the extra towels, wash cloths, bath mats still in the dryer. Apparently the housekeeper didn’t unload the dryer. That being said, I folded all the laundry and restocked the bathrooms and closet before we left. I felt kind of ridiculous paying a significant cleaning fee and still having to take care of these things. Also, There were crumbs left on the downstairs foyer. We went to use one of the fans in our bedroom and two out of three are broken. Not sure why they keep them? They could use a few more utensils like non stick spatula and a pizza cutter, scissors. A notepad and pen is always helpful for guests. Love the coffee bar and smart tvs. The views and wildlife, thankfully made up for the things wrong with the unit.

Beautiful view beautiful home! We had such a wonderful time. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we need it to make it at home for a couple days. The property owners was very helpful and Quick to respond to any of our questions. Even kept us up-to-date with weather conditions. The views are outstanding. I will definitely return this was a great value for our money I highly recommend this Home. The pictures on its website don’t do it justice it’s even more beautiful in person.
