Great stay….but humid!
We had a great stay at this cabin! We were there during the warmest week of the summer, and without AC in the house, things got a little moist. The downstairs bedroom comforter and the towels were damp…. I think this could be taken care of by a dehumidifier. The upstairs floors got “sticky” and we also noticed that some of the cabinets and closet doors would not shut… Probably because of swelling from humidity.In addition, we would’ve liked to have had more than one wine glass? If we had known there were no wine glasses, we would’ve brought our own. Also, there was no bakeware, like a 9 x 13 casserole dish which we had planned on for breakfast, and there was only a very small baking sheet for bacon in the oven, although we certainly could’ve used a frying pan. We could’ve brought these things, but we weren’t aware of what was in the kitchen.It was a lovely place to spend one night… I can imagine that it is absolutely perfect in the winter. We appreciate it that there were three bedrooms and that every couple had their own bathroom. The lack of air-conditioning was a little bit of a surprise for us, but when we went back and read the listing, it never said there was AC. Probably isn’t needed unless it is a hot humid week in July!All in all, it was a great day! I really appreciated the responsiveness of the host.
