“Loved the house, so much nostalgia…..loved the kitchen stove, that worked very well, by the way. Perfect location quiet and central to many things we wanted to see. Loved talking with Tina, she was more than happy to answer my questions about the house and the surrounding area and Pat was prompt in communicating with me when needed. “The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness of the house. Took awhile to figure out how to use the fan to have air flow through the heating vents, more ceiling fans would’ve been helpful for us (we’re use to central air and windows that can open for fresh air). Great place overall.”

“From renting to checking out, everything was amazing and simple. We enjoyed the house and the area. We were able to rent a pontoon boat and a fishing boat on this lake. Went to Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds and Bonds falls. One of the best places to eat is about 39 min away but The Konteca was amazing to see bears while eating dinner. ”

The owner was very helpful and kind, it was super clean and felt like a real home. They had lots of brochures for things to do available, clear instructions on how to do things and everything was comfortable. ”

“The location was great, beautiful, peaceful and easy access to the Keweenaw Peninsula. The house was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the house had nice finishes/updates but poorly done. The electrical was clearly done by a non professional and without permits or inspections as outlets were upside down and light switches were in weird locations. There is a reason the shower does not appear in any of the booking photos! There is only a powder room. The "shower" is a shower...
