Beware of the BED BUGS!!!!! When we arrived we had ants in kitchen and decided to treat it and make sure food was up and no crumbs... we let this go being we had a couple storms and figured they came in from all the rain. Fast forward mid week and my daughter notices bites on her legs. We checked the beds and saw nothing... we passed it off as maybe she was bitten by mosquitoes or a sand flea bite on beach...until we actually found the BED BUGS the last day after many bites later. We were horrified and called the rental company (Vacasa) who were extremely professional. After inspection , it was confirmed that BEANIE'S BUNGALOW was indeed infested with BED BUGS . We ended up having to throw out quite a bit of our belongs, take off work to treat our items and vehicles after driving home. The experience was awful and has caused us so much anxiety! The OWNER of this property has handled this situation poorly. She has offered an insult as a refund and made it clear with her actions that she only cares about her rental income. I was told she planned to have the home treated by a pest control company and replace the mattresses, bedding and headboards. She would need to replace all the carpet, furniture , electronics, curtains and the one million trinkets she has in this home. I am doubtful she did that. I have been disgusted that this OWNER feels it is not her responsibility to refund us for our trip or at least come up with a reasonable offer. Beware of the BED BUGS !!!!!!
