Being excited to go on my husband's birthday trip to Austin quickly became a nightmare. Upon our late arrival, we were given two different addresses, and the correct address was not what the original booking looked like. After waking the following day, we noticed many water-damaged areas of the house, mainly upstairs. You could visibly see mold on the ceiling, flooring, and in the washing machine. I immediately texted the host to let them know and see what the remedy would be. They asked for pictures for confirmation, which I gave. They then admitted to having a small leak from the roof but assured me that they had no mold, even though you could visibly see it. They said they would talk with the owners and get back to me. The host never responded to me again. I have contacted VRBO and am still waiting to hear from the company.
