Extremely disappointing
This rental is ultimately not set up for guests, nor is the description accurate. It's an interesting place, for sure, full of quirky decor and art. But it hasn't really been designed for a comfortable stay, and maintenance is sadly lacking. There are zero towel rails in one bathroom - not even for a hand towel - and the shower system is insanely over-complicated (yet uncomfortable and doesn't drain). The place is crammed with furniture and ornaments, and the bedrooms are tiny, with little place to put luggage or personal items. Nowhere at all to hang damp towels, so that by the end of the long-weekend they were permanently damp, especially after doing double-duty as pool towels (since there aren't any). Bedding was cheap and gross.
We arrived to find cobwebs and cochroaches, a broken king bed, and a bedroom door that wouldn't close at all (and had been that way for a while, judging by the damage to the jam). And the worst disappointment - after booking the three "sister" properties under the clear understanding that the pool was shared by only these houses, we encountered smoking, radio-blaring guests in the pool area from a fourth unlisted house that also has access!
Immediate notification of the issues to the property management company got someone out to fix the bed, but nothing else, and they told us that the pool privacy promised in the VRBO listing was an error. They did give us a nominal refund in compensation, but that didn't really fix our experience....
