Fantastic Girls Weekend
I invited 7 of my girlfriends for weekend and we had such a great stay. Great house, very comfortable, with all the best amenities (pool, hot tub, big functional kitchen). We loved the scenery and the secluded area. Would definitely stay again & recommend to any group!

Family Wedding
We were in town for a family wedding at the Arlo which is right around the corner. It turned out that this lovely house became a base camp for visitors. We were able to enjoy family and friends at a poolside retreat. Amazing!

Very cool and fun
We were able to enjoy the pool because of its many entrances. I loved how effortlessly our groups could transition from pool experiences to indoor activities, and vice versa, with tremendous ease. We had fun and everyone found their way of enjoying this beautiful space.

Amazing!
Hosted a bachlorette weekend here and it was incredible! So much room to spread out and enjoy each other. We had dinner in on night and the kitchen accommodations were perfect. We did yoga on the balcony with the quiet a breeze through all the trees and fields on the property. Very retreat feel! Highly recommend

Worst rental
Filthy; a bug was crawling in my sheets, only plastic glasses that are foggy and melted/mis-shaped from the dishwasher. Towels are cheap and thin. only 1/4 size top oven works and a label asks not to use the bottom oven the management company knows this and does not intend to fix it. Pool isnt heated and filthy. Pictures look good, but it’s all old (70's) and cheap inside. You can never get in touch with the owner; it is a third party out of state. They are useless.

Great house, amazing pool!
We rented the house with family to celebrate my son turning one and really enjoyed our stay. The house has everything you need and the pool was well maintained and really large. The bbq could use a really good clean, but overall everything was great. I would definitely rent the property again!

Spacious house not maintained
Nice spacious house with a Jacuzzi and a pool which was not very well-maintained in several areas. We rented it for a graduation in which we were to cook for up to 12 people and the oven would not come to temperature. Additionally, the freezer was frozen shut and we could not use it. When attempting to open the freezer the handle actually came off. Once we realized the oven would not cook properly, we tried to grill but both propane tanks were empty. The comment back from the management company was that they were not required to supply propane even though it said so in the description. Also, the cabinet door that held the coffee cups came off one of the hinges, and created some more consternation. The bottom line is this was to be a happy event, and it turned out to be very frustrating and somewhat embarrassing situation, especially for the amount of money that we spent. To make the situation worse on the day of checkout, there was a scorpion in my aunts shoe which actually stung her on the day of her flight out. Luckily, there was no reaction and we made our way out. There were two scorpions in the house that morning and we do have a picture should someone like to see it. We had been speaking to the management company about all of these things the entire time and there was no sympathy on their part to do much of anything. Unfortunately I would not recommend staying here or using this management company for any properties. Very disappointed.

Would not recommend
We booked this property back in October 2022. When we arrived, the house is in a gated neighborhood and we did have to unlock a gate to access the house; however, there were two gates on the property, one which was wide open for anybody to access at anytime. When we pulled into the driveway up to house, we immediately noticed 4 vehicles on the property; keep in mind check in started at 4 PM and we did not arrive until 7 PM so there was no reason for anybody to be at the property. Come to find out there is a studio on the other side of the pool with young men in there and a dog smoking weed and playing band music. We entered the house with the code provided by property management and right inside the door was a dead cockroach that was obviously there for awhile as the blood that was smeared on the floor was dried up. Walking through the house, it was apparent the back door was unlocked for anybody to access, a used joint was found on the back patio along with other trash. The house was disgusting. Black chunks of hair everywhere, the sheets did not look like they had been washed, none of the dishes were clean, the countertops were sticky. We spent at max 30 minutes in the house half of which we were on the phone with Vacasa. We were told we would be refunded in full but have not seen a full refund at this point in time. VRBO itself basically told us to kick sand and deal with the condition of the property.

Group Trip to Austin
We had a small group of us stay here for our first trip to Austin. It was a beautiful large property and we all really enjoyed our stay. The pool was incredible. Only thing I wish we could’ve had was some suggestions of things to do in the area. There was no information provided at the property on what needed to be done when checking out like I have experienced at other properties and communication was slow, if we ever ended up getting a response. But all in all, we had a terrific time and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Home
This is a beautiful home with a great location that feels secluded but is close enough to Austin that everything is easily accessible. The cons: bedroom with twins beds - beds seem small and the room is secluded. OK for kids or teens. The pool wasn't too clean when we first arrived. Faint smell of sewer near all plumbing areas. Pros: The house is beautiful and clean. The master bedroom and bathroom large and very nice. Upstairs and downstairs have their own AC controls. House is fully furnished with everything needed. It would have been nice if the listing would have told us more about what was included in the house like: blender, coffee maker, pool towels, extra bedding and linens, cocktails supplies (shaker/glasses), iron & ironing board, etc. It took us awhile to find all of the light switches, outdoor lights, pool floats, etc. Overall great house!

This was a good close location to the Arlo wedding venue for my daughter’s wedding. Great for older Grandparents for few steps to get in house and their 2 bedrooms on kitchen level. Pool was excellent. Master bedroom is downstairs and musty since built into ground. The 4th bedroom w 2 twins is in garage basically. It is older but did accommodate what we needed. Biggest creepy part is the studio behind house right at pool is active w people coming and going, so your property is not secure because 2nd gate is always open so no need for gate code.

Bear Creek Modern Delight
This home, pool and property were wonderful. The house is roomy, modern and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked. Our family enjoyed swimming and relaxing on the deck. We walked the property early each morning and enjoyed seeing deer, rabbits and birds. My only complaint is that the communication with Vacasa, the host, was slow to the point of uselessness.

Pool and Hill Country
We had our dog and our 2 1/2 year old with us, so we enjoyed the access to the property of several acres and the pool/hot tub. It is scrubby hill country terrain with plenty of space between neighbors. The upstairs kitchen, family, and dining rooms create an open area and it is great for entertaining. The back doors on main level open up to a beautiful covered patio. While on the upstairs patio, we blocked the outside stairs to keep our grandchild and dog from running down to the pool. As described in the property information, the recording studio is directly on the other side of the pool and there were people are the studio. There are two entrances to the property, so we hardly noticed anyone coming in or out. There are supplies provided but not a lot so bring additional paper towels, spices, trash bags, etc...

Bachelorette Weekend!
My group of friends had an amazing time tucked away in the trees! We felt far enough away from the city to get in touch with nature but still a short uber away from dinner and nightlife! The pool and hot tub were an excellent touch too for lounging at the house. The ONE downfall was a sulfur/gassy smell when running the dishwasher and doing laundry... made the whole house smell like a fart. Other than that and no coffee filters, the weekend was magical!

Overall Nice Property, Could Use Some Minor Fixes
Overall, we enjoyed our time here. We used this as a vacation for 3 families to gather. The property was clean and fairly nice. The property manager, Shelly, was responsive and attentive. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath and 1 half bath located on the main floor and then a master suite with full bath downstairs. The master suite opens to the bottom deck and pool area, and the bathroom also has an outdoor entrance which is great for using while you’re in the pool. I was also glad to see that the master closet was very large and we were able to put our toddler in the pack-n-play in there with a monitor that easily reached throughout the house and outside. It is close enough to the city if you’re looking to go into Austin, but enough removed that it is an entirely country feel. There’s a CVS nearby and a full grocery only 15 min. away. The pool was great with both shallow and deep ends, and plenty of towels and pool toys were available. All household amenities were included and we had plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking and eating. The living spaces and 2 decks were great for spreading out and PERFECT for sunsets and views. The hot tub only worked for 1 night of our stay. There was a issue that we were made aware about prior to our arrival, but was fixed by the following morning yet the hot tub was still not warming. Shelly did follow up onsite and determined it was most likely a propane issue and that was refilled the next morning so we were able to use it that evening. This is only annoying because you pay an extra hot tub fee so the hot tub should be properly maintained prior to your arrival. This has been mentioned by other guests so it seems like a known problem. One reviewer mentioned that the knives were not good and I would agree. Bring your own if you’re able. The property has some definite wear. At least two of the dining room chairs had screws missing (one fell out while we were on it) and felt like you might fall over. One of the outdoor chairs had a broken armrest that fell off. At the bottom of the outdoor stairs, there are two broken tiles that one of our children cut their foot on so it might be a good idea to replace them. If you are not used to water out in the country, bring your own bottled to drink. I didn’t mind it, but a couple of people did not like the taste. We enjoyed our time together there and it was a nice property, however, it was on the pricier side so I would expect some of these things to not be issues.

Extended Stay Winter 2021 | Pros & Cons
My family and I spent a month at this property. We have 4 young kiddos (3, 5, 7, 7) and had an absolute blast hanging out poolside and playing outside on the large property. Amy, the property manager, is highly responsive and a delight to work with. She was very accommodating and helpful throughout our entire stay. The Bear Creek community is ideal for long outdoor walks, wonderful site seeing of animals, wilderness exploration and the actual property is about 3 acres. It is large and really fun to explore. I happen to be a runner and the road around the property is paved really well and perfect for runs. There is a loop that is about 2 miles and ideal for getting in several laps. The neighbors are nice and access to things like Walgreens and Starbucks are 10 minutes away. The property was well stocked with towels, linens and soaps. During our stay we paid extra for weekly cleanings and provided our own toilet paper. It was worthwhile for the extra cleanings because the dishes situation was atrocious. Amy worked hard to make it as great as it could be but between the dishwasher not working, hard water, lack of materials to clean dishes it was the bane of our existence. Amy purchased additional materials and various items throughout the trip but many of these things should have been available originally. Additionally, the home is lacking in cook wear. Baking sheets and pans are tiny or not available. The knives are totally worn down and useless. There was a lack of mugs and Amy purchased us additional ones. There are really large salad and prep bowls, a nice cutting board and plenty of plates which is great. The pantry is massive which is a delight for large families. All the bedrooms and living spaces are super clean and well kept. The listing for the property was a bit misleading and Amy compensated us financially because of this and let us know that she was going to update the listing. She is also working on getting a new dishwasher. It is important to note that this is not a private property. The owner has a building next to the pool and is there daily and sometimes with friends. This building can be seen outside all the bedroom windows and does not allow for privacy. The owner is a smoker and smokes outside the building (visible), drives recklessly around the property, and leaves the gate open as he pleases. It is my assumption that the pandemic has the owner staying there more often then usual. He stinks. Amy is awesome.
