Long weekend for family reunion.
The hosts were very communicative. If you need anything they live next door too. Nothing was need during our stay. The home was clean and the pool was an enjoyed by 3 generations. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly I enjoyed my daily walk. We all agreed we would stay again.

We were in town for a week leading up to my son getting married and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! The owners were super friendly and even flexible as we were checking out in the middle of a tropical storm and tornado warnings 😀 The home is fully equipped with everything you can think of needing. We really enjoyed our stay at Southern Exposure. Jan and Arden were WONDERFUL hosts making sure we had all we needed. They were helpful and immediately responsive when we reached out. The pool was relaxing and the floor plan was perfect for 2 families to have room and enjoy!

Wedding Travel to Bartow FL
We found the Gem of all Gems here in Auburndale, FL. We attended a family wedding in Bartow Florida and we just didn't find what we were looking for in the VRBO homes. We expanded our search and found the Auburndale just a short 33 minute drive away from the venue. This house is amazing with 4 bedrooms perfectly situated for our family. Two King Size beds and two rooms with Single Size beds, 2 per room. Traveling from Colorado, we were not ready for the hot days mixed with the Humidity. The pool was perfect for us to cool off after a long day. The Auburndale was perfectly located for our wedding rehearsal dinner in Winter Haven, again a short commute under 30 minutes. When we travel back to visit family, we will be staying at this lovely place in Auburndale Florida. Levi, Julia, Paige & Grandma

Family visit
We stayed at Southern Exposure to visit with our daughter and grandchildren who live nearby. From start to finish our experience was phenomenal. Probably the best experience we've ever had renting from VRBO. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything you could need. The views are breathtaking and the pool is gorgeous. The outdoor patio is not only screened in but a large section of it is covered as well for some much needed shade. Jan and Arden are incredible hosts and super considerate of all of your needs. They even called me before my trip to let me know 4th of July is loud there, they knew I was traveling with young children and wanted to give me the heads up in case any of my children were sensitive to noise. I can not recommend this rental enough. You will not regret it if you book this beautiful property!

Spacious home
Large home with plenty of room. The home was clean and the location was perfect. Would have been nice to have access to the beautiful lake, but there is no dock or access from this house. However, the owners live next door and the kids were able to fish from their dock. A propane grill would be a nice addition, but kitchen was well stocked. The amenities in the bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion) were appreciated and were a nice touch. Couches and beds were very comfortable.

Nice last-minute replacement
We had to book this house last minute as our precious rental cancelled at the last minute. It is on a lovely lake with many birds - it can be loud! The hosts were very responsive and we had a nice short stay.

Beautiful setting
We enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our group. The pool area overlooking the lake was a great place to hang out. We were able to catch some beautiful sunsets. The house is large and spread out and we never felt cramped with 4 adults. Communication with hosts was excellent, responsive, and accommodating. Highly recommend and we’d definitely book again in the future!

Southern Exposure Experience
The description of a house on a private 76 acre lake had me picturing a quiet, remote house with lots of land and nature. This spacious house is in a suburban neighborhood on a gorgeous lake. It was wonderful waking up to the sunrise, and relaxing poolside in the evenings with birds chirping and the sun setting. The house worked great for our needs and the owners were quick to reply to an issue.

Most comfortable stay away from home
To those reading this review, first thing to note is that the property was as advertised. However what really impressed was the comfort factor. I’m not just referring to the scenic calm of the lake or the quiet neighborhood but just about every other aspect. The beds, bedding, towels, furniture, ease of appliances and supplied cookware are just some of the comforts that made our stay much nicer than any hotel or even staying with family. The response of the host also puts you at ease that any issue will be addressed quickly and effectively. I would certainly repeat renting this listing the next time I’m in the area.

Parents Birthday Celebration

The house was very spacious with plenty of room for all 6 adults and 1 child. The lake was beautiful and serene, we loved sitting in the screened porch watching the birds and the sunset. We would recommend this house if you are coming to the area.

OUTSTANDING!!!!
We went down for a baseball tournament, and could not have made a better choice than Southern Exposure. Jan and Arden are exceptional, communication was wonderful. The house is beautiful. Clean, stocked, and exactly what we needed. Literally minutes from the fields, we could drive home between games and take a dip in the private pool. The view of the lake, and the sound of the birds, made the stay so surreal. We will definitely come back for next year’s tournament. I highly highly recommend anyone looking for a place in the Auburndale area to stay here. Thank you Jan and Arden for letting us share your wonderful home.!!
