I used this quiet little cabin exactly as stated in the title. It was quaint, clean, & comfortable. You're within 4 miles of the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, 2-3 miles from some good eateries, and Ashton (which is the only place convenient to buy groceries/supplies). I enjoyed getting out early to hike, but it was equally as enjoyable to have a little hermitage for me to return to for more relaxation. I loved kicking up my feet on the chaise lounge sofa after a shower, reading a little, and downloading pictures from daily excursions (decent wifi, btw). I was able to fix supper some evenings (with most kitchen amenities provided), but also took advantage of being so close to the Copper Creek Restaurant (excellent food and blackberry pie). I had a full sized coffee pot to make coffee each morning, which is huge when you wake up at 5:00 (or earlier depending on the hike one wishes to take) and nothing is open yet. The bed is located in the loft area, accessed by some steep steps, but if you're in the area to hike, no big deal, right? The shower I mentioned was surprisingly nice, big shower head, spacious (weird adjective to describe a shower, I know), but the sink is tiny. I just used the kitchen sink usually. My one complaint was that I had no towels (aside from 2 hand towels), so ended up purchasing a camp towel in the hiking/gear shop in Ashton. Other than that, all was great. You could hear the river running behind the property, cute fire pit in the rear as well.
