“Unique property. Was not very crowded when i came and stayed in the Yurt. Excellent communication with staff. Very helpful staff, at that. Quiet and peaceful during my time there.”

“Great place to getaway and relax. It was quiet, of the main road and the property and cabin were well maintained. Water level in the lake was good, and it was fun to watch the night come to life under the stars. We saw plenty of deer and even an armadillo came strolling by the porch on its way down to the lake to get some water. Good spot and would go back. ”

“The host was super attentive and answered all of my questions. The entire cabin was clean and tidy. The kitchen was great and allowed me to cook full meals. The view of the lake was a lovely especially while sitting in rocking chairs. I would definitely stay here again. ”

“My family of 4 enjoyed our stay here. It was not toddler-friendly, but we managed to leave without breaking anything. We loved kayaking on the little lake and enjoyed the short hike. The pool was only slightly heated (during Spring Break) but we got used to the chilly water. The propane grill and hot tub were both awesome. We couldnt get the fire pit to work so we used a lighter to roast marshmallows. Overall I would recommend staying here with kids over 3.”

“What an amazing experience. Even though I planned this trip last minute, our hosts Zachary and Anna were so gracious to us and accommodated our needs with my 2&4 year old littles. The homemade breakfast in the morning was delightful and we felt so comfortable and at home on their beautiful grounds. We will definitely be going back for another stay soon!”

“We enjoyed our night in this cute Sotol Hill Lighthouse! The owners were readily available for check in, and the property is so comfy. Porch-sitting was a GREAT activity, birds and the hills and the sun all cooperated for a great experience. We will enjoy returning!”

“Cute cabin overlooking the hill country! We stayed two nights and were very comfortable. The area is quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the shower works well but the owners will tell you that hot water is limited. We had enough time to shower but you don't want to linger. The incinerator toilet is interesting but works just fine. ”

“We are local to the area & found this Glamping gem last minute for a close weekend trip. Who knew this beautiful little spot was less than 30 mins from home. “The property was amazing other than it's hard to get to the pond to fish. Watching the ducks and antelope was fun though. Owner was very nice and fixed an issue with the cabin immediately. Two things I would change is the pillows in the bedroom and having better quality dishes. My food stuck to both pans provided. I would definitely consider staying again. ”

“This place is perfect for a romantic getaway! The cabin is so nicely furnished and was super easy for check in/check out. The kitchen had plenty of room for us to bring some snacks and drinks. “Carmel Cottage was the perfect cozy spot for me and my daughter. It was very clean and well appointed. The decor was very cute, think hill country chic, and the surroundings by the lake and pool were nice and quiet. Check in and check out process was easy and seamless and Kelly was very welcoming.
