Lovely stay! Great location. Short walk to beach access. Home is very clean, cabin feel as pictured. Would stay here again. Didn’t need anything but management checked in frequently via text.

Coziest Beach House, Perfect Location
While the wind blasted off of the ocean just outside our back door, my family and I stayed warm and cozy in this perfectly outfitted beach house. We enjoyed the amazing views, comfy beds, closet full of games and puzzles, well-equipped kitchen, and overall charm and vibes of this special house! The location is a quiet neighborhood perfectly placed between Manzanita and Cannon Beach. We hiked at nearby Oswald West State Park and used the little trail a block away to access the beach. Everything was clean when we arrived, the AvantStay team was very responsive, and check-out process was a breeze. We will definitely be back!

Not to be missed (Reviewed by Husband)
Remember a time when drywall wasn't an option, and wall coverings were wood?. Well enjoyed. Such a special offering this place was sentimental and comfortable. I would definitely would love to go back, Our three teenagers even liked it (I think) First of all there was firewood and the firewood was a treat to use. It was fully seasoned and the fireplace made me feel like a king. A Blaze King! I would love to know who manufactures the bath as I want to put one in my house, and the Kitchen sink is a pleasure to use.; I also want to put in my house that I am currently building. Our family even finished a puzzle. I wanted to frame it! But we put it back to be enjoyed by another. The beach was good but the house was great.

Best View in Arch Cape
This house is charming. It’s efficient and well maintained but a renter doesn’t even notice that because the views are among the absolute best on that beach. Beach access is a breeze and everything is comfortable for the whole family.

Relaxing family getaway
This is an amazing home at the perfect location: sort of a Goldilocks property. It’s the right size and the beach access is very close. Arch Cape is a small town so the beach is not too crowded but close to both Cannon Beach and Manzanita. This is our new favorite coastal rental.

Very clean, ON the beach, beautiful sunset. Great house, manager was very good with getting us information. I love Arch Cape area, you can hear the waves from the house. My only draw back is the neighbors are 6 feet away... the windows on the side are looking into their window

Wonderful weekend!
Wonderful location. Out of the hustle and bustle of the beach towns but easy enough to get to. Just a block from the beach access. Love being able to look out the windows and see the ocean. Clean and comfortable house. Love all the pictures and maps on the wall. We will be back!

Beautiful incredibly well furnished home with stunning views
The house is setup with two distinct sides that would easily accommodate two families. There is table seating for twelve, and this is the best stocked kitchen I have experienced with any home lodging. From muffin tins to pancake griddles, to shellfish utensils and place settings for fifteen easily, the items were quality pieces and made for great home cooked meals. Between the seven of us, we never ran out of hot water for showers and the bathrooms are lovely. I would only ask that there be lights to illuminate the drive. Thankfully, the home is right at the T-intersection, however, lights would have made for an easier and more welcoming arrival. The views are to die for, the bits of history in prints and maps throughout are very interesting. WiFi worked well, TV (if your kids can’t live without it) worked well also. Bedding, towels, pillows are all plentiful and good quality. Blue tooth speaker for background music while dining, playing board games, or just sitting together taking in the view was a great touch. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

Warm and Cozy in Winter
This was the perfect place for our family of four (college-aged kids) to relax together away from "it all" for the week before Christmas. Everything about the house was cozy and welcoming. The owner's attention to detail couldn't be better: an amazingly well-outfitted kitchen, logs and matches by the woodstove, pillows and sofa throws spread about, comfortable mattresses, and a deep, quick-filling bath tub. The beach is a half-block away public access, but that wasn't a problem. Because of the tide schedule, most of our walks were up at Cannon Beach, anyway. Note: we liked the map on the north wall of the livingroom area so much, we ordered it for our daughter for Christmas!

Home away from home, but with a better view!
My Uncle was visiting from Georgia and 6 of us fit very comfortably in the Pilot House. We loved how there were separate spaces/rooms to spread out and ones to join in & be together. There were wonderful amenities, fully stocked kitchen, towels & linens, everything you need to live at home away from home. It is not a handicap accessible home though, especially the shower, which was a little small, but still very nice. We have woodworkers in our family, so we enjoyed all the wood paneling of the home which gave it a cabin-like feel. The beach access was only half a block away, which was really nice. Make sure you have shoes to walk over the rocks before you get to the sand! Our favorite thing about the Pilot house, of course, was the view! You just can’t beat it. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching the sun rise and the sun set. Just breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the little bunny rabbits dart about the yard munching on grass & shrubs. Thank you, Carol, for opening your home so that others can enjoy a little home away from home on the Oregon Coast!

Very relaxing place to unwind!
The Pilot House is a well built cabin home that has rooms and privacy for everyone. It has been remodeled inside and is very clean and well-kept. We sat out on the edge of the cliff and drank our morning coffee, ate lunch, or just stared at the waves. Beach access is a short walk away. The spacious garage is nice for parking a car, but be advised that you can’t get a truck through that 6 foot door opening! We stored our extra coolers in the garage and I borrowed the work bench to work on my new fat tire beach bike. That was handy. The kitchen comes fully stocked with every conceivable tool, plate, utensil, bowl and cup! There are some extra spices, non-perishables, and supplies left over that came in handy for us to use. The beds were comfortable and we loved hearing the waves at night through the windows we opened. There is plenty of seating in the living area. There is also plenty of parking out front. We highly recommend the Pilot House for families or two couples. It’s a great place to stay!

Our family of six had an amazing vacation, and much of it was due to our choice for lodging - the quaint and special Pilot House on Arch Cape. There is something about this house that just puts you in a vacation state of mind. We spent a lot of time at home, which is rare for our vacations. We loved the huge deck and yard, and the amazing uninterrupted beach vista. The beach is practically private, with access just two houses down. One thing we didn't understand is that you cannot walk out onto the beach from the backyard. The house is on a cliff about 50 feet up, so this might be a concern for families with smaller children. We worked FOUR giant puzzles from the house's eclectic selection...and never once turned on the TV. Even with three teenaged girls! The charm of the house is present in every board on the ceiling. The kitchen counters are the prettiest turquoise formica. It's like going back to a simpler time while still having all your conveniences. We had everything we needed. Kitchen is thoughtfully equipped. Laundry was a huge plus. Parking was generous and private and easy. The sleeping quarters were different than we imagined, and worked great for us. The front bedroom is separate from the rest of the house, so it's good for mom and dad. The back of the house has a 2nd bathroom (we all used this because it's the one with the shower), a nice family room with a pull-out couch (pretty new, too), and two separate bedrooms (one with a queen, the other with bunk beds) with accordion doors. The setup would even work for two small families. We loved the big great room with two tables - one dedicated to puzzles! Very few cons: no Keurig (we survived!), a little hot (two great fans but no A/C), poor cell service (also a pro!). Other pros: excellent private neighborhood, convenient to touristy spots without being in them, good wifi, homey decor, comfy furniture, very nice owners, plenty of towels and pillows, fun little critters in yard (chipmunk, bunny, resident birds) and beautiful landscaping. It's a happy place, this house.
