Great Getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful with great views and convenient location to Annapolis and surrounding areas. Very clean and well kept property with all the amenities needed. Host is very attentive and checks in to make sure your check-in and time there goes smoothly. Great host! All three generations of our family had a wonderful time staying at La Maison. The house is warm and welcoming, and has everything that you need. The view is amazing. We would love to come back next time we are heading to Annapolis.

An Exquisite Sanctuary on South River
This was the third year we have spent a mid-October long weekend at La Maison with our sons and their friends. It is always lovely--the water, the herons, the light. Also everything you could want, nothing you don't need--bocce, kayaks, fire pit, outside and inside dining for family and guests. Just the loveliest break from the world, yet close to everything you could possibly need.

A New Meaning to Excellence
The entire property is beautifully maintained and gorgeously decorated with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. We have stayed at many VRBOs but this one gives new meaning to the word “excellent”. The house is incredibly clean and absolutely shines! The kitchen has every utensil and appliance you could want from a rice cooker to Nutrabullet to every size casserole dish and a vast selection of pots and pans. The view from the patio is breathtaking. We started each day with coffee on the patio and watched the boats and the large variety of beautiful birds. The bedrooms were large and with excellent closet and storage space. The master bedroom is especially beautiful and has a lovely view of the river. We loved the pool and it was so nice to have kayaks to paddle the South River. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Hurricane Debbie blew through while we were there and the owners came immediately, without being asked, to clean up the debris in the pool and walkway. It’s a short drive to stores and restaurants as well as an easy drive to the historic downtown and the US Naval Academy. We loved our stay at this amazing property and recommend it highly to anyone visiting Annapolis. Barbara Boatright

The best two weeks
I LOVE this property! The fact it had an amazing pool with privacy and in a quiet neighborhood was amazing. My favorite part were the views on the water and being able to see the sunset and the boats go by, the owners are very responsive and it’s only 15 minutes from town

Fabulous!
My family and I spent a few days for the 4th of July at this wonderful place. The property inside and out is mouth dropping beautiful. Peace and quiet on the waters edge. We loved our morning walks through the quiet tree lined neighborhood with our stops to the playground and the community beach, then a swim in the pool. Evenings were spent enjoying the pool, views, and sea life. An ideal getaway.

A 'Perfect' Tranquil Waterfront Gem
I am almost at a loss to describe how wonderful our experience was staying at The La Maison House. I have booked and stayed at many VRBO homes over the years. And always search to find the right fit, heavily relying on reviews from fellow travelers. Most often, if we are pleased with the overall stay, even if there are some improvements that could be made, I will leave high reviews, out of respect for the efforts of the host, and understanding the importance of reviews to their rentals. I can honestly say that I could not think of anything at this house that was lacking. Our entire experience was simply perfect. The beautiful pictures don't do it justice. The house is furnished and wonderfully appointed with a simple, comfortable elegance that clearly had a top-notch designer input. Not to sound cliché but the Zen is spot on. The décor lends itself to the whole environment of serenity. The pool, grounds, dock and property is incredibly well kept and maintained. It is secluded among the neighbors, and completely private. You feel like you are on an island. Aside from the calming sounds of the water and it's passing vessels, there is an overwhelming peaceful quietude. The hosts are super-responsive and extremely gracious. We actually felt treated as guests of friends. Thank you Gopika for the wonderful stay. We hope to visit again.

Commissioning Week 2024
Our family stayed at La Maison for our son’s Commissioning week and this couldn’t have been a more perfect home to celebrate the occasion! La Maison has beautiful views of the water and plenty of outside space to have relaxing but special dinners. We enjoyed watching a glimpse of the Blue Angels while we swam in the pool and relaxed. It was the perfect week!

Amazing waterfront views and comfortable....you won't be disappointed!
The property was exactly as advertised. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Our party of 2 families, with kids from 3-7 greatly enjoyed our stay and visiting the local area. We hope to be back again in the warmer weather when we can use the pool!

A serene and picturesque location
Gorgeous and peaceful location with a crisp, clean house with a coastal European vibe. Comfortable accommodations and easy and quick drive to downtown Annapolis for bites and drinks. We had an idyllic girls weekend - great hikes, workouts on the deck and lots of catch up in a beautiful setting. Would definitely return! Gopika was a breeze to communicate with and incredibly flexible and accommodating. Perfect host!

Fall Weekend in Maryland

Utterly Lovely Sanctuary on South River/Chesapeake Bay
This was our second stay at La Maison. It is clean and lovely and light-filled, and almost every room faces the dock and water. We cooked and dined in and out, and enjoyed every moment. It has everything you need, and then some: grill, fire-pit, pool, kayaks, fast WiFi, bocce, outside heater. The owners are highly responsive and lovely to deal with. Could not recommend more highly.

Relaxing retreat on the water!
Teachers needed a reset!!! 8 of us elementary teachers needed a long weekend to rest, recharge, reset and relax! This home was exactly what we needed! Even though it was a stormy weekend, it was still perfect for sitting around together, sipping coffee and/or cocktails and watching the water. Had it been a nicer weather weekend, this home literally has everything you need to make it a perfect getaway. Owners were so helpful and kind and easy to communicate with. We are hoping to find another weekend to return to this great little hidden gem!!!
