Casa de vacaciones junto al mar en la costa de Solway, Dumfries y Galloway

Shoreside es una propiedad costera con excelentes vistas abiertas sobre el mar a las montañas de Lake District. En el tranquilo y bonito pueblo de Powfoot, es una casa victoriana de piedra arenisca recientemente renovada de dos pisos. El dormitorio principal con vistas al mar tiene una cama de matrimonio de lujo y un segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales. Un amplio baño familiar cuenta con bañera de hidromasaje y ducha. Una quinta persona puede dormir en un sofá cama en la acogedora sala de estar frente al mar que tiene una estufa de leña. La casa tiene una cocina / comedor moderna y bien equipada. Un área de terraza en el jardín delantero aprovecha el paisaje costero, mientras que en la parte trasera hay un patio y un pequeño jardín privado. Un amplio garaje ofrece espacio de almacenamiento para equipos deportivos y al aire libre. Los perros bien educados son bienvenidos y hay estacionamiento fuera del camino disponible. Best family stay

Quiet and peaceful
A very nicely refurbished cottage with all necessary equipment and appliances. 50 metres walk to the mostly deserted beach. Not much to do in Powfoot itself, so driving is essential. Caravan park cafe very good and Powfoot hotel good if you don't have a dog.

Peaceful break
The house was great, good sized rooms, comfy sofas and beds. Very well equipped kitchen with nice crockery. Terrific views from living room and bedroom. Powfoot is a quiet village, no shops but plenty of walks.

Family holiday
Fantastic place to stay. powfoot great for dogs and kids. So much to do, did not have to drive anywhere for the 5 days there. There is min golf and bowling on the green next door to street. Our boys loved it there playing. Lots of wood walks and beach is fantastic as well. There is 2 parks and small football field as well.There is the hotel and caravan site along beach road. For food and drink. The cottage is fantastic, so homely. Home from home, our host. Left some lovely treats for boys and milk and cheese, thank you for that. The locals are so nice to talk to. Our oldest son who is austic, has trouble sleeping other places and can be a nightmare. He slept like a log all nights in his own bed. So we had a good night sleep to. We have booked for next year again, for our family holiday. As we enjoyed it so much. I can say the cottage and powfoot is fantastic for austic children. Thank you so much for the best holiday we have had for years ❤️

The house was very roomy had everything you needed,especially the views.The village is very well kept with flowers and plenty of dog poo bins and its just so relaxing and peaceful.Plenty of walks around beach and woods.

Relaxing stay
Excellent view of the Solway, Pennines and the Lakes. Annan is a good place to get supplies and great walk by the river for the dogs. Easy walking from front door for our elderly mother. Will be back.

Our stay at Shoreside in Powfoot
We chose to stay at Shoreside as my wife and I were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary with a Marriage Blessing at Gretna Green. From the moment we arrived and met Carol to the last moment, our stay was absolutely magical. The property was immaculately presented with plenty of space and comfortable and comprehensive fixtures and fittings. From waking up to spectacular views across the Solway Firth from our bedroom window, irrespective of the weather conditions, walks along the shore and around the pretty village which we and our 2 dogs Toby & Tess thoroughly enjoyed to luxuriating in the bubbles of the spa bath, our whole stay has given many, many memories of a very special trip. We are determined to visit the area again and I would urge others to do the same and give Shoreside a visit,

Carol met me at designated time. - very friendly and helpful. There was a welcome pack of oatcakes, cheese, Prosecco , milk and ice lollies! Cottage very well presented throughout! My sons and wife/partner will be back, and it’s dog friendly!!

Everything you needed . Comfy cosy clean with excellant views. Prime location
Loved this place. What a beautiful property and village . The birdwatching is wonderful just from the window. Saw deer on the beach once and every day in the nearby woods and golf course. Played mini golf and bowls every evening. The community have the village immaculate. The beach is incredible. Great base for visiting historic sites. The house is beautiful withcomfy beds , luxery towels and bedding , great powerful shower , good internet and everything you need. Ideal for our wee dog or children with the fenced in front and rear garden , obvious beach and outdoor hose for washing off mud. The addition of a garage meant no dirty or wet outdoor gear in the house.

Comfortable well equipped cottage with fantastic views
Cottage was really spacious and had everything you could need for a short break away. The views from the cottage are just stunning and our dog could not get enough of the salt marshes. Amazing hotel 5 minutes walk away. We will definitely return!

It was great couldn’t fault the property it had everything
The property was great and loads of outside walks. The weather could have been kinder but it didnt stop us. Our son ate most of the lovely treats that was left for us and a lovely bunch of flowers on the table looked great.

We had a lovely relaxing break at Shoreside cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we could need. We were met by the host who was very friendly and a lovely welcome pack awaited us. The location was fantastic with great views and we were very lucky with soke glorious weather too.
