This is not a secluded cabin in the woods. I needed three weeks of seclusion and rest. What I got was more anxiety and less sleep. The pictures are deceiving... There is a second smaller cabin that shares a deck, and I was treated to the ongoing late-night partying of the occupant. OFTEN! Quiet hours are supposed to be between 9pm and 6 am and there were frequent visitors coming and going at midnight. The deck rattles so I heard their clomping. I was highly annoyed. If I had known that I would be so close to another, I never would have stayed here. On one occasion one of the weekend visitors opened my door and tried to walk in. I had to casually and almost comically send him to the other cabin. I reached out to the property manager, and they did not return my complaint for six days. Their response was that they cannot control the behavior of others.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. I felt deceived. The full-size kitchen, while one of the most attractive elements of the cabin was, sadly, not enough to make up for the anxiety I felt on a daily basis wondering when they would be coming back. On my last night in the cabin, they weren't there. By midnight, I thought, "Thank God! I can get some rest." Nope. 2:30 am, here they come, clomping up the stairs.
Can't wait to get home to get some sleep. Will never return.
