Great getaway weekend
Our yearly March family getaway was a success helped along by a great rental. Lousy March weather but nice and warm and cozy inside this beautiful chalet. Plenty of room for all our diverse age groups. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a nice location. Glad we booked it.

Great House and Trip
We had a group of 9 friends staying at this house. We do a reunion trip every year and this house was spacious and perfect for our extended weekend stay. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in the group. Good gathering areas in the dining room, upstairs living room and basement with pool table and wet bar. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. The house is a short drive from restaurants and other activities. The host was great on communication while we were prepping for the trip - very responsive and helpful! We all had a great time during our stay here!

Great Property! Super Clean!
As advertised, modern and extremely clean property! Stayed here for my wife’s 30th birthday celebration with friends and everything worked out smoothly! We were extremely comfortable, plenty of space and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! Looking forward to staying again. The one thing I will say is this property is in a protected community, so the property owners will ask for car license plate numbers of all guests. They had passed for each care ready for our arrival. You will need that pass to throw away trash as well (about 5 min up the road) as trash cans are not kept on premises to dispose of garbage.

Great Stay
Our group of 22 had a wonderful time here. Convenient location to the Big Boulder/Jack Frost for our ski trip. Plenty of rooms to accommodate our large group of adults and children. Rooms were clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Overall great stay
Overall, this property and location provided a great escape for my husband's birthday weekend. It was tough for this group of mostly city slickers to get around and they are not used to driving in such DARK areas, lol! The area was quiet and peaceful, the house was warm and inviting, Our only gripe is that the trash recptacles have to be driven to. It is annoying to drive your vehicle with trash in it. There were also some small things like one of the bathrooms not having a working lock and one of the TVs not working in one of the basement bedrooms. I was told this upon leaving the property by one of my guests so dodn't get a chance to report to the property manager but yes, FYI, there are some small maintenance issues that need addressing. Overall awesome and we would do it again!

Great Place for a Pocono Getaway
This was a great place to stay at with several families for a long weekend of tubing and skiing. The owner of the property could not have been any more accommodating. Already thinking about booking for next year.

Weekend get-a-way
The house was perfect for us. The owner was extremely accommodating and let us check in early and out late. She kept in touch with me to make sure everything was okay. When I needed to ask her something, either via text or by phone, she answered ya quickly. Would highly recommend this place. Might be returning back in the summer with my family. They very much enjoyed it and would like to check it out in the summertime.

Great Poconos experience
This was the 4th year my group of 16 rented a Poconos home and this experience was by far the best. The owner was kind, quick to respond and effectively communicated before, during and after our stay. The house was clean, spacious, well-equipped and exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfectly situated to get to multiple mountains for skiing, as well as nearby restaurants and convenience stores. We are hoping to return next year!

Excellent home Thanksgiving 2019
We had an amazing experience! House was absolutely perfect for my huge Greek family! Throughout the years I host Thanksgiving nyc renting a large house near big boulder. This house was fully equipped with EVERYTHING! Ellen was the BEST owner I have ever dealt with. She left ius everything we could possibly need and she even brought us an extra turkey oven. She went out of her way to make our holiday great! She also checked in to see if we needed anything else! I highly recommend this property for any family big or small!

Amazing home just a few steps away from lake
My friends and family had an amazing time this past weekend. Communication with Ellen was superb. The home is well kept with exceptional space. We had so much fun in the lake which was only a few steps away! The paddle boats are must! I will definitely book this home for next years trip! Thank you Ellen!

Ellen was a very attentive and responsive host. We had everything we needed for our family’s annual women’s retreat. Every question I had was answered immediately with a friendly response. I definitely plan on using this home again.

Amazing vacation home!
My family and I had a great time at the Family affair lakeside chalet. With such a large group it is hard to find a place for all of us to fit comfortably, but not with this home. We were all able to hang out, have a family dinner, watch movies, you name it all without being on top of one another! The location is also great, while the older kids went snow tubing at JFBB the little kids went to the water park at Split-rock, both are only about 15 minutes away. Ellen was beyond amazing, she made sure to check in daily to make sure all was going well. It also snowed on and off the whole weekend so she was sure to make sure we didn’t need any plowing. We will absolutely be back, I highly recommend renting from the Capell’s you will not be disappointed! Thank you again Ellen, we had a blast :)

An amazing place for our annual Super Bowl weekend getaway with friends and family.
This house has everything you need for a weekend getaway or a week away with family and friends. The bedrooms were spacious, and the living area was more than enough to accommodate our large crowd. Ellen, the owner, added the special touch by checking in with me daily to make sure we had everything we needed. We have been doing this trip for a few years now and she is the first owner to do that. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for some time away.

My first impression was that this house is clean and well cared for!
All 8 bedrooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and we enjoyed having a TV in every room. The basement game room was enjoyed by all of us...especially the pool table! We cannot wait to rent this house again... hopefully for a longer stay! PS Ellen, the owner, was so easy to deal with and after renting in the Poconos several times, I know that this is not always the case!!!!!

Beautiful home, beautiful time, awesome owner!!!
My family and I rented this beautiful home for our annual religious retreat. This home was the main meeting place for our bible studies that we held daily as 2 other homes were rented. When we entered the home we were automatically impressed. The rooms were gorgeous and the home had a homey feeling. There are lots of supplies in the home, there were even seasonings provided. On cool days we enjoyed coffee and tea and there were plenty of mugs supplied. There was plenty of seating for our large group as well. Having TVs in every room was awesome. We even had a karaoke night in the living room and were able to put the words up on the big screen tv. The short walk to the lake and seeing the sun rise and set was absolutely beautiful and to see the families of deer was spectacular. There was even a playscape near the lake. The kids had a great time and it's not always easy to please little ones. There's also plenty of parking so when we had friends over, we were able to have room for 3 additional cars. We did have a few minor issues that were quickly rectified by Ellen. At the 2 other homes rented there were issues that arose over the weekend, but unfortunately, we didn't hear from the owners for almost 36 hours. This was not the case with Ellen. My entire group voiced the same opinion, working with Ellen was a dream come true. We have also rented homes in the past and none of the realtors/homeowners were as responsive as Ellen. Even when I was inquiring about renting the home, I emailed late at night and didn't expect a response but lo and behold, that's exactly what I got. She truly cares about the individuals who stay at her home and does her best to ensure they have a 5-star stay. For us, Ellen deserves more than 5 stars. Not only did we have the best time ever in this beautiful home, we had the pleasure of working with a truly beautiful, caring person. If you want the time of your life, to stay at a home that is well-stocked and want to deal with a very responsive homeowner, I strongly recommend renting this home. We plan to return and when we do, we'll be contacting Ellen!!!

Perfect house with a perfect location!
Started a family reunion tradition this year and picked the Poconos for our location. The house was perfectly sized and accommodated all of us. Great space and beautiful inside and out. Would definitely come back!

The place is Huge! The windows light up every room. We had 16 people with us and loved that we could all fit at the table. Everyone had their own room and the beds were very comfortable. Ellen was a great host and very accommodating. The area is nice, lake is such a short walk, theres a volleyball court. Great place to stay!

Upon arrival the house was clean ready for us to settle in.
Everything was great! Short walk to the beach and lake. The only drawback is that you cannot use your own kayaks and canoes on the lake due to permitting. We would definitely recommend this place to other families.

Beautiful lake side home
My family and I loved our stay! The house was very spacious, we had 6 children and 6 adults & there was just plenty of space for all! The grocery store was near and within 15 minutes we were @ Split Rock water park.
