“Property is right in the heart of Hahndorf. We were given an upstairs apartment. Not the best if you have large suitcases. The stairway is inside the apartments. Lovely shower although our showerhead needed a good clean and descale. Otherwise all good. Have stayed before and would stay again in a downstairs apartment.”

“This is a beautiful and tranquil place surrounded by nature. In the mornings, we were pleasantly surprised by the chirping and whistles of different birds; and cool, crisp and fresh forest air. We will visit again.”

“A nice, historic building with friendly staff and an impeccable location. The botanic gardens adjoining are a real treasure. The food was a letdown though - high tea service was slow, we had to ask to be served after 30 minutes (even to choose tea). The sandwiches were made on stale bread. Surprisingly poor since the Verandah restaurant is highly rated. Room was well laid out and practical.”
