The loft area for sleeping was very cozy, unique and the mattress very comfortable. “If you're going to Acadia, this is a great alternative from the overcrowded frenzy of Bar Harbor, or the overpriced chain hotels/motels around Mount Desert Island. Located just outside Southwest Harbor, this is a quieter corner of MDI with a little village that has a few stores and restaurants (most close at 8pm, so we didn't get to take much advantage). It's about a 15 minute drive from Bass Harbor Light, and about 25 minutes from Bar Harbor, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. The...

These were perfect to have a nature feel but with amenities to suit a day of sweating from adventuring in Acadian National Park! “Great views and property! Enjoyed paddling across the bay to the islands. MDI and Schoodic Point were close enough to get out and do early morning biking/hiking, beating the crowds. House was clean and had a well equipped kitchen to include a Keurig and drip coffee machine. No a/c but the ceiling fans kept us cool enough even on unusually hot days/evenings for Maine in June (mid 90s). Overall, great vacation spot!”

“This wonderful apartment is located on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, which was a big plus for us! As an added bonus, there is a grocery store (and a laundromat) 0.1 mile away. The beds and sofas are comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all the bakeware, cookware, crockery, flatware and utensils you will need. The bathroom is tiny, but certainly serviceable. And the owners, Tim and Sian are regularly updating and improving the property. Overall, we had a delightful stay!”
