“This is the BEST property we stayed in on our 3 week journey around South Island! It is HUGE, has a beautiful view of the lake, 2 wonderful reclining chairs, super clean and just SO inviting. Super convenient to walk downtown to restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend the Doubtful Sound cruise if you have the time. Don’t pass up this place. We stayed here 4 days and would do so again!”

“Spacious and clean rooms. Well equipped. Lots of parking and very nice hotel grounds. Strong internet. Friendly and helpful checkin staff. A Very easy and short walk to town centre for restaurants, shops, and exploring. The room was not well soundproofed as able to hear muffled conversation/laughter/movement of guests in adjacent room. Bed was 3/5 for comfort and appears due for replacement. Overall tho, it was acceptable and offered good value.”

“Beautiful stay on the Fiordland. The only downside was that there were guests with children that they did not tend. It was disappointing because it really impacted the quality of the stay. I have no issue with children…just hard when they are allowed to run free and be very loud.”
